No business opens their doors to provide inferior products and or services but more often than not, consumers are disappointed with their purchase or experiences. Amongst the sea of average companies in the Upstate, WOMGreenville has identified a growing list of WOMWorthy companies that have to be shared.
WOMGreenville is by invitation only and reserved for only those companies that go above and beyond to ensure that their customers experience their awesomeness. We start with there is no perfect business and even the likes of Apple do not always meet customer’s expectations. Some customers will never be pleased and love to scream their displeasure from the rooftops. A customer with a bad experience will tell 7 to 10 people about that experience and that 7 to 10 continue to tell others, add in social media and sites like YELP and Facebook, it is easy to share that negative experience with hundreds and thousands of people. Happy customers will only tell 3 to 4 others about their experience and rarely do they take the time to share their joy online. WOMGreenville is run by a group of people that have all lived in the Upstate for 10 to 20 years and our network goes wide and deep so we know the companies that we consider to be WOMWorthy. We will also rely on our growing community of WOMInsiders to tell us about the hidden gems in our community that we can review and share should they fall into the category of WOMWorthy.
WOM Definition: An unpaid form of promotion in which satisfied customers tell other people how much they like a business, product or service .
Word-of-mouth advertising is important for every business, as each happy customer can steer dozens of new ones your way. And it’s one of the most credible forms of advertising because a person puts their reputation on the line every time they make a recommendation and that person has nothing to gain but the appreciation of those who are listening. What are you doing to make sure your potential ambassadors feel confident enough in your business to recommend it? What are you doing to trigger word-of-mouth?
Word-of-mouth is triggered when a customer experiences something far beyond what was expected. Slightly exceeding their expectations just won’t do it. You’ve got to go above and beyond the call of duty if you want your customers to talk about you.

How does WOM work?
A company is invited and or recommended because they are great. We meet and figure out how we can best work together to tell your story and promote your business via our many online and offline channels. We create a win win relationship and get to work. This is not a free service but you cannot get anything close to what we are doing with WOM for what we are charging, especially year one as we build. WOM will invest over $50k in year one alone to promote the WOM site and our WOMWorthy customers while building a community of over 5,000 local WOMInsiders.
WOM will capitalize on the power of social media and we have a dedicated WOMPartner that will manage each social media platform. Our focus at launch is Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Google+ and YouTube. Not each platform is a fit for each business but many are and we will discuss that when we meet to discuss moving forward.
WOMWorthy Code of Ethics – Each company whom we will tell their story has been invited because they are great at what they do and go above and beyond to take care of their customers. You cannot buy your way into WOM but you will exceed customers expectations because that is what you have always done and why we invited you to WOM in the first place. Keeping in mind that there is no perfect business, WOM will work with the consumer and company to resolve negative experiences should they occur. Should a company receive too many negative comments and complaints, they will be removed from WOM. It is really that simple.
