WOM Review – Firehouse Subs
Firehouse Subs has continued to add locations in the Upstate for the past 10 years or more when Elliott Goldsmith, a friend of mine started with his first store location and leap of faith in Mauldin. Elliott saw a winner and wanted to share with the Upstate. He and his family have since built a nice FireHouse group and have done a great job along with supporting their local community in many ways. I hear a new Goldsmith baby has entered the world and sending prayers and blessings.
We were introduced to FireHouse years prior to their entry in the Upstate as they started in FL where we spent a lot of time as a family over the past 25 years. So we were very happy to see the first location not far from our house in Mauldin where our family were regular guests and we got to know Elliott over the years. At this time the Upstate knew nothing about FireHouse Subs and the secret is now out.
Why we all love FireHouse as a family? They make a great sub with high quality food ingredients at competitive prices. It’s simple food but it’s good, it’s quick and they are consistent. The kids always liked getting a plastic fire hat and now with the new Coke soda machines, they can experiment with soda flavors they shouldn’t be drinking. They also have hot sauces from all over the world where customers bring a bottle to share and leave at the store. Many may not know but they also do a lot of catering and are great at it. Check locations but they have kids specials on certain nights that kids eat for .99 with adult meals.
We frequent the Woodruff Rd location and they have a large restaurant with indoor and outdoor covered options in an old bank on the good side of Woodruff Rd. We have also eaten at several of the locations across the Upstate as well in other markets during my travels and they are very consistent and the franchise chain just gets it and is a franchise success. They also give back, promote the local area and fire department and support our local heroes in many ways.
If you haven’t been then you should as they are a winner. If you have been, please share what you think.
Thanks Elliott for all that you do and we wish you continued success.
